Claudia Padilla Peña is self taught visual artist based in Mexico who has dabbled in painting, illustration and art-artifact for more than twenty years. Using a diverse amount of techniques, she has created a variety of traditional and experimental artistic proposals.

The central objective of her work is focused on creating artistic proposals with a language of their own, the understanding of one’s self through daily life, emotions and dreamlike worlds. Women, eyes and birds are recurring topics that she uses within a pareidolia, creating abstract artworks where a continuous trace, a freedom of format and color define its essence.

Her artwork has been displayed in both individual and collective exhibitions on a national and international scale. These places include Mexico, Spain, USA (New York City, Los Angeles, Atlanta) and a solo exhibition, winning a 1st place in an international art contest at Berlin, Germany.

She has been invited to various homages and collectives of great significance in where she has displayed her work. Some of these include exhibiting Museum of Art Queretaro, participating in an Homage to Leonora Carrington, UPAEP Museum Puebla, Woman’s Museum CDMX, and many others.

She currently resides in Queretaro, giving various art and painting courses, virtual classes and conferences for educational purposes. She continues to create artwork and keeps exploring new ways of expressing herself artistically.
